Val's Visit

My sister Valerie and her husband Eric drove all the way from Utah with their three kids to visit us for spring break. We were so excited for their visit and dragged them all over the place while they were here. We wish we could have provided better weather while they were here (the highest high was 62!), but we still had a great time.

We hit up a lot of the tourist spots like Ghirardelli Square, riding the trolleyPier 39
Sydney has been really into taxi's lately. Screaming out in excitement every time we see one on the road, so she was thrilled when we decided to take a cab from the warf area back to Union Square and we had to document it.

We had a great time hiking around Big Basin and letting the kids wander through the giant trees.


There was a lot of this over the course of the week.
The kids really wanted a beach day in Santa Cruz, so they braved the beach one sunny day even though the high was only 61'.

Pete took Andrew out for his first surf session and he was so brave!
We are used to the sweatshirt over bathing suit combo, but I think they were hoping for a more tropical experience. It was still a beautiful day and lots of fun.
And of course we went to Happy Hollow -kid heaven! Andrew was so sweet with GG the whole time.
Thanks for making the trek out to Cali to visit us Val and Eric. We miss you already!
