Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve day on the coast at half-moon bay. It was sunny and warmed up to 62'. We had fun spotting marine life and laughing at Sydney's explorations. Then we grabbed some grub at Sam's Chowder house on the way home. What a perfect day!

A day out with Syd

We have been so busy getting ready for Christmas, but Sydney and I have had a few days where we just got to hang out.
This was after we spent the morning at the children's museum with the Jensen kids.

Talk, talk, talk

Sydney has become quite the chatterbox lately. She makes me laugh all the time with the funny little things she puts together. It's still hard to get her to talk to other people, she gets all shy, but I did get her to say a few things on video here:

Syd's partner's in crime; Jackson, Evan and Shaan. Taking these guys trick-or-treating was hilarious! There was lots of uncertainty about what we were doing until the doors opened and then the little munchkins would rush inside, not really caring about the candy, but thrilled to be "welcomed" into a new house they could explore. All the parents would have to apologize as we also rushed into our unsuspecting neighbors homes to retrieve our kids. Good times :-)

A perfect day

Today was one of those days. A beautiful, sunny, fall day. We hit up the library, went for a walk and chrunched leaves, met up with friends at the park. Syd and I had so much fun. I feel like she's just my little buddy. I know I'm biased, but she was so sweet and charming today. I also feel like she's growing up so fast. Look at my big girl!

Shoes

I love this picture because it shows Sydney doing one of her favorite things. Playing with shoes. She is constantly in my closet trying on different pairs and walking around in them. She has gotten pretty good at getting them on, usually on the right feet too! Here she is in her favorite pair, my bright orange high heels. I knew it, shoes are just an innate girl thing.

We had a blast picking out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. Sydney wanted to get them all!

Our neighborhood fire station has an open house each year and this time Sydney was old enough to enjoy it. Here are some pics of her at the station.

Down on the Farm

Sydney loves animals and we are so lucky to have several different farms close by. A few weeks ago we got to spend the afternoon with some of our favorite people at Ardenwood. Look at these little buddies!


I love seeing their curiosity and wonder about everything.

Yosemite with the Bankheads

In early August we headed up to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite. Our friends the Bankheads braved the wilderness with two kids and taught us some tricks to camping with munchkins. We had some great hikes and gorgeous views.

More NYC

After the wedding we had so much fun hanging out in the city. Sydney had lots of adventures. She fed the pigeons and jammed with musicians in central park. She rode the subway, had mass in St. Patricks Cathedral and walked the red carpet. She met up with best bud Evan at the Waldorf, swam in a roof top pool, constantly raided the mini bar and much much more.
