Norway

Pete has business partners in Norway and has had to travel there three times in the last year.  Those trips were usually only a week or two, but he realized he would have to spend some significant time there in May.  As April was coming to a close we started toying with the idea of taking the whole family for a Norwegian adventure.  There were a lot of things to consider and as with any choice, we knew we'd miss out on activities and events here at home if we made the trip, but it just seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass on.  So with just over three weeks before he had to leave, we made the decision.  Then the insanity began: the expedited passport process for the girls, finding people to cover callings, carpools, watch our house, etc. We flew to Utah for my brothers wedding for one of those weeks and got back in town with five days to spare before our departure date.  Of course we also managed to squeeze in three or four doctors appointments in those five days.  Our usually healthy kids somehow started snoring (possibly needing a tonsillectomy) and come down with a double ear infection during that time.
By some miracle we pulled it all together and left warm and sunny weather in California for a town in Norway six hours south of the Arctic Circle.  We'll stay for just over five weeks.
